Hope for a Mom came to be when I was continually looking around at the world before me and seeing the loss of hope we as moms can start to feel. I see it everyday in the country that has so much yet it never seems to be enough. I see it in the country that has so little and they wonder day to day how they will feed their children and send them to school.
I created this blog to bring our world together, build each other up and bring back hope to a broken world where nothing is ever enough. I am so excited to be able to share my personal stories and stories from friends around the world.
Not only is this blog to just share stories but it’s to seek ways in which Christ has called us to help our brothers and sisters who live next door, in the next town over, across the country and around the world. This blog is only the beginning and I am waiting for the Lord to guide each step and follow where He leads.
Who is this woman that may be talking you may ask? Well, My name is Jo-Anne and I am 31 years old. I have been on a rollercoaster (fun and scary) of marriage with my husband Chris for going on 9 years this October and together for over 13 years. We have three biological children who are 11,8,and 6, and we also have three Haitian children whom we will be adopting that are 8,5,and 2.
We are missionaries in Haiti and love every minute of it even when it involves heart break and frustration. Mostly though we feel joy.
I love to read, write and speak. When it comes to World Issues I have a hard time keeping it inside because I feel so deeply about our role here on our Earth and how each of us have a part to play. I have also learned through Christ’s love to look for good in this world.
I was saved in 2010 where God started rewriting not only my story but the story of my husband and children. This is a story that will only end the day I go home to be with my savior, so until then I am going to make a good one.
