This year I have decided to do something about my love for reading. Ever since I was a little girl I remember reading books. Lots and lots of books. The library was one of my favorite places to be in school. These days I find it’s a struggle to read a book without being interrupted by children who need something. I can find a great book and I’m really into it but I still struggle to finish as fast I would like to. It almost takes my interest away when I have to wait days before I can read another chapter.
This year I have created a reading list in which I’ll read a book a month. The books will range from being educational, help with ministry work, books for my soul and just random reads that just let me exit the real world for a little bit.
Here’s my list of my 2017 reading list:
Serving with Eyes Wide Open – David A. Livermore
Let he Nations Be Glad! – John Piper
Half the Sky – Nicholas D. Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn
Big Magic – Elizabeth Gilbert
Make it Happen– Lara Casey
EntreLeadership– Dave Ramsey (I may have started this before the New Year because it looked so good)
Fervent – Priscilla Shirer
Desperate – Sarah Mae and Sally Clarkson
Women Living Well – Courtney Joseph
Sarah’s Key – Tatiana de Rosnay
The Sisters – Mary S. Lovell
The Lost Wife – Alyson Richman
Do you have a reading list this year? Have you read any on the list? I’d love to know what you thought of the ones you’ve read and if you have any recommendations for ones that may be similar. I am so looking forward to intentionally taking time to read and do something I love.
